Teachers are expected to develop their own "Alternative Literacies" project
during this workshop - details on these projects may be found in the course
syllabus.
- How multiple modalities help students understand rhetorical situations:
moving the "essay" beyond the written word; - Theory, research, and practice in teaching graphic novels;
- Technologizing the writing process; techniques for teaching writing with
computers; - Using "Alternative Literacies" to work with diverse student populations.
Teachers are expected to develop their own "Alternative Literacies" project
